More and more anaesthetists are experiencing too much pressure from mounting daily challenges in an era marked by ever increasing expectations for delivery of clinical care. The result is burn out, decompensation and departure from the speciality - or even from the veterinary profession.
Our aim is to provide optimal service, not destroy the environment, be affordable for the owner and appropriate for the patient. Can we really achieve all this? The AVA spring meeting 2024 is designed to take a break, stand back and look in the mirror to work out how we can stay happy and be good animal anaesthetists.
Let's take the time to analyse, network, discuss, argue - and also just to have a good time together.
What is new this year?
Special this year you can submit an M&M abstract! We invite you to share your experiences with morbidity and mortalities encountered in your practice. We will dedicate one entire session to it as we want to encourage cultural shift and learn from your experience. We eagerly await your valuable insights and contributions that will undoubtedly enrich our understanding of these critical aspects of medical practice.
